About the Program

Students in the Cosmetology program build the technical and communication skills needed to succeed in a professional salon setting. The curriculum includes hair coloring, cutting, styling, conditioning, nail care, skincare, esthetics, and infection control, all taught to meet industry safety standards. Through hands-on practice and public clinics, students learn proper product use and application techniques to deliver high-quality personal care services. To be eligible for the New York State Certification exam, students must complete 1,000 hours of instruction.
