About the Program
This program gives honor-level seniors the opportunity to observe many aspects of the professional medical field. There are two classes at the downtown Kaleida Health Medical Campus. There is one class at Buffalo General Medical Center and one class at Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo (formerly Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo). Each class spends a year at their respective facilities. During the academic calendar, the students will be immersed in theory, learning Anatomy and Physiology, medical terminology, and pathophysiology. Students also can also participate in health care internships that provide students with real-world clinical experiences with diverse health care professionals.
